This is good for if you want a base background to work off. I wouldn't use it just as a background, but I suppose you could if you wanted to. 1. First you open a new document and give it a size of 400x400. 2. Now you go to Filter -> Render -> Clouds and then to Filter -> Render -> Difference Clouds. 3. Now you go to Filter -> Artistic -> Plastic Wrap and apply. 4. Go to Filter -> Brush Strokes -> Accented Edges (2 / 32 / 5 - down the list) and apply. 5. Now you go to Filter -> Sketch -> Water Paper (15 / 80 / 80) and apply 6. Now you go to Filter -> Distort -> Wave (999 / 706,706 / 1,1 / 100%,100% / Sinus) and apply 7. Now you can give your pic some color by pressing Ctrl+U and that's all (I used 220/80/0). It should look like this now After some brushing and some other things I came up with this. It's kinda retarded, but it works for an example. Use ur imagination and have fun. And of course, play with settings and customize it to fit your needs. Feel free to post your results if you play around with this. It'll be interesting to see what people come up with.
