This is my first tutorial so lets get it started As the title says this tutorial will be to show you how to make fire text like this..... 1. Start with a new document, fill in the back round with black, and type your text in white.... 2. Next select Filter->Stylize->Wind Choose wind and from the right 3. Rotate 90 Degrees Clockwise and repeat step 2 all the way around. Repeat twice for what will be the top of your text. You should get something like this... 4. Select Filter->Distort->Ripple Choose medium and 100% Should look like this.... 5. Select Image->Mode->Grayscale Choose yes when it ask if you want to flatten the image. 6. Select Image->Mode->Indexed Color Then Image->Mode->Color Table Choose Black Body This should be your result..... 7. Set the Color Mode back to RGB Color (Image->Mode->RGB Color) 8. Retype text in black and put over your flame letters, and your done...

i got more but this text is my favorite.....if you would like to know any of the others in my sig just ask..... although ill make another one anyway once i get bored again in a week or so this is a freakin awesome smiley....lol

We should post more tutorials, that way other people might get more interested and be able to make their own instead of asking us all the time. I just don't always have the time.

@nh: the fire text in ur sig looks like a variation on the toxic vapor of the "a" in my sig....but post the tut anyway....like rapist said we should have more of these tuts so ppl will make their own sig and not keep askin to have one mad for them
