CoD2 mod toolsAlso, make sure you have the .NET Framework from microsoft installed. Otherwise when you go to compile the map you'll get all kinds of errors. Nice thing about CoD2-Radiant is that it comes with a compile program and you dont have to write out a .bat to compile, although you still can if you prefer that method.

are you directing it to the 1.0 or 1.3 installation? idk how you did your dual install, but most people just copy and paste. If you did it that way you probably installed the 1.3 update to the original folder. You have to point radiant to the original folder, for some reason it won't recognize the copy. hope this helps. if not, get to me on xfire and i'll help you more from there.

im gonna give this mapping a go sometime this week! it will probably be hours of misery and no result at all but it looks fun to some extent give yourself a week or 2 to get completely oriented before you start trying to make a map. just play around with making terrain, clipping brushes, making buildings, etc... One of the biggest things that will help you a lot is to know all the keyboard shortcuts. It's a long list, but you start to notice patterns, and they actually make sense...crazy i know like to select the clipper tool you press X...which makes sense in a way.

But working full time now means i have very little or no time to relax and do my own thing and 99% of the time i want to be gaming, not creating maps

That's taken most of my free time lately (that trench is a pain in the ass). I just like making maps. Even if people can only make buildings or somethin, they can send those to me and I can work them together in a map. People don't realize how much time it takes. I spent half a day remaking the main building from Pavlov.

When you installed the mod tools did you leave it at the default installation path? Do you have a dual install?
